Dominican Republic Adult Mission Trip Fall 2026
We will travel to Santo Domingo, DR to partner with local churches, through Empowering Action, and work alongside them as they continue their ministry to the reach the local community. We will engage the locals through establishing relationships and connections, completing projects, and serving the pastors/staff and their families. Great first cross cultural trip if you’re an adult.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Background Check (if over 18)
- MUST have Passport with at least 6 months of validity left after trip return date
- Complete an interview with the trip leader or a SEND team staff member
- Check the CDC website for the recommended vaccines.
Restrictions
- Must be an active member of Apex Baptist Church or be an active participant of another local body of believers.
- Must feel comfortable sharing the gospel and your testimony.
- Must be able to travel for extended period of time.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of trip.
Preparation
- Read the appointed Missions book for short-term trips: Foreign to Familiar by Sarah Lanier (provided by Apex Baptist)
- Attend ALL team meetings/trainings
- Complete assignments given to you by your Trip Leader
- Complete IMB Short-term Missions Pathway
